Meet the McCarthy family

Following the death of our father in May 2020, we purchased a double decker bus and converted it into a short term staycation hideaway. A lockdown project which helped us to channel our grief into something positive and heal together.

We documented our journey on social media and received over 2.4 million views on TikTok.

“Ballinadee bus is a special place, a true gem. We loved our night there and should we return we will bring all our friends. It’s a great way to enjoy the Irish countryside and Irish hospitality. Such a unique find. We felt so lucky to stay there. We picked up fresh eggs, strawberries and milk from the farm down the road for our breakfast on the bus. Truly magical place.
